Monique E. Eniero

Partner

Monique E. Eniero is a founding partner at Morse Khimani & Eniero. With a decade of experience as a former prosecutor and defense attorney, Monique represents clients in serious criminal and civil matters. She has successfully conducted numerous jury trials and has obtained acquittals in complex felony cases.

Monique also has substantial experience representing clients in civil and criminal appeals and post-conviction relief. She has briefed numerous appeals and argued before the Alaska Supreme Court. Her recent appellate successes include Hughes v. State, 541 P.3d 542 (Alaska App. 2023) (reversing the client’s conviction and holding that the trial court erroneously instructed the jury); Jonah B. v. State of Alaska, DFCS, OCS, 2023 WL 8452398 (Alaska Dec. 6, 2023) (reversing a superior court’s termination of a client’s parental rights); and F.B. v. State of Alaska, DFCS, OCS, S-18878 (Alaska Jan. 4, 2024) (vacating a superior court’s termination of a client’s parental rights). Her experience guiding clients through all phases of the legal system makes her uniquely qualified to achieve desirable results for her clients.

Jaffer K. Khimani

Partner

Jaffer K. Khimani is a founding partner at MKE and has practiced criminal defense exclusively in Alaska since 2014. He represents clients in both Alaska state and federal courts, with a focus on serious and complex criminal cases where careful preparation and trial readiness are essential.

Jaffer is a member of the federal Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Panel, where he represents indigent defendants in federal criminal matters. He also serves as Vice President of the Alaska Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, reflecting his commitment to the criminal defense bar and the advancement of effective defense advocacy in Alaska.

In addition to his criminal defense practice, Jaffer represents clients in divorce and child custody matters, where his trial experience and strategic advocacy are critical to protecting his clients’ rights, finances, and families, particularly in high-conflict cases.

Before founding MKE, Jaffer served as a supervising attorney in a criminal trial unit in Anchorage, where he trained and mentored new trial attorneys and oversaw complex criminal cases. Earlier in his career, he worked as a judicial law clerk for the Alaska Superior Court, gaining firsthand insight into judicial decision-making and trial practice.

Jaffer is widely regarded as a skilled and dedicated trial attorney. His strategic judgment, courtroom advocacy, and work ethic have earned him a strong reputation among clients, colleagues, and members of the legal community throughout Alaska.

Devin G. Morse

Partner

Devin G. Morse is a founding partner at MKE. A second-generation Alaska attorney, she returned to her home state after completing law school to pursue a career as a trial attorney. With over 10 years of experience, she has tried over 50 cases to verdict, practicing in every judicial jurisdiction in the state, from the Aleutians to Southeast Alaska. Her extensive trial practice gives her a unique perspective and competitive edge in the courtroom.

As a proven skilled litigator and crisis manager, Devin leverages her exceptional courtroom skills to aggressively advocate for her clients, either through trial or by negotiating successful resolutions. Committed to providing personalized and comprehensive representation, she is passionate about helping individuals navigate the complexities of the courtroom.
