Monique E. Eniero
Monique E. Eniero is a founding partner at Morse Khimani & Eniero. With a decade of experience as a former prosecutor and defense attorney, Monique represents clients in serious criminal and civil matters. She has successfully conducted numerous jury trials and has obtained acquittals in complex felony cases.
Monique also has substantial experience representing clients in civil and criminal appeals and post-conviction relief. She has briefed numerous appeals and argued before the Alaska Supreme Court. Her recent appellate successes include Hughes v. State, 541 P.3d 542 (Alaska App. 2023) (reversing the client’s conviction and holding that the trial court erroneously instructed the jury); Jonah B. v. State of Alaska, DFCS, OCS, 2023 WL 8452398 (Alaska Dec. 6, 2023) (reversing a superior court’s termination of a client’s parental rights); and F.B. v. State of Alaska, DFCS, OCS, S-18878 (Alaska Jan. 4, 2024) (vacating a superior court’s termination of a client’s parental rights). Her experience guiding clients through all phases of the legal system makes her uniquely qualified to achieve desirable results for her clients.
Monique was born and raised in Alaska, and she is proud to continue representing the people of her community.
Jaffer K. Khimani
Jaffer K. Khimani is a founding partner at MKE and has exclusively practiced criminal law in Alaska since 2014. He defends clients in both state and federal court and specializes in representing clients in the most serious criminal cases. He is a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel, representing indigent defendants in federal criminal cases, and he is a board member of the Alaska Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Before joining MKE, Jaffer served as a supervising attorney for a criminal trial unit in Anchorage, where he trained and guided young lawyers. Prior to his role as a trial attorney, he worked as judicial law clerk for the Alaska Superior Court. Jaffer has distinguished himself as a highly skilled trial attorney, and his expertise and work ethic are well known in the community.
Devin G. Morse
Devin G. Morse is a founding partner at MKE. A second-generation Alaska attorney, she returned to her home state after completing law school to pursue a career as a trial attorney. With over 10 years of experience, she has tried over 50 cases to verdict, practicing in every judicial jurisdiction in the state, from the Aleutians to Southeast Alaska. Her extensive trial practice gives her a unique perspective and competitive edge in the courtroom.
As a proven skilled litigator and crisis manager, Devin leverages her exceptional courtroom skills to aggressively advocate for her clients, either through trial or by negotiating successful resolutions.
